InfoTech receives Virginia’s Fantastic 50 companies Award

Alexandria, VA (April 16, 2001): InfoTech Enterprises, Inc., an Information Technology Services firm, announced today its selection by Virginia Chamber of Commerce as one of Virginia's Fantastic 50 companies in 2001. InfoTech was a recipient of this award in 2000, and was ranked 21st within the 50 selected companies. InfoTech will receive the award during the Fantastic 50 Networking Reception and Awards Banquet to be held at the Richmond Marriott Hotel on June 5.

“We are very pleased to be recognized once again by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce and all the credit goes to the customers and the exceptional employees of InfoTech,” said InfoTech’s President & CEO, Karlu Rambhala.

The Virginia Chamber of Commerce and its Small Business Committee created the Fantastic 50 Awards program in 1996. “The purpose was to generate more recognition for small, entrepreneurial companies throughout the Commonwealth for the contribution they were making to the economy by creating new jobs and capital investment,” said Hugh Keogh, president of the Virginia Chamber.

It is the only awards program that highlights 50 of Virginia’s fastest-growing companies on a statewide basis. The Fantastic 50 Awards banquet celebrates these growing enterprises with an electric event that has been called “a big pep rally for entrepreneurs.” The banquet is preceded by a large Networking Reception, which connects the winning companies and sparks many new business deals. Special guest presenters have included Governor George Allen, Lt. Governor John Hager, Attorney General Mark Earley and others. The top winners are profiled in Virginia Business magazine, and the Networking booklet, which is distributed to all attendees at the Banquet.
