Avineon Named a Future 50
Winner by Washington SmartCEO
D.C.-area
technology company recognized for its rapid
employee and revenue growth
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – Jan.
30, 2007 – Avineon, Inc., a successful
provider of IT, geospatial, engineering and
program management services, announced today it
has been selected as one of Washington
SmartCEO’s Future 50 winners for its
continuous employee and revenue growth. Avineon
has grown at the average annual rate of more
than 40 percent during the last four years and
expects its growth to continue at the same rate
or greater in 2007. This marks Avineon’s first
appearance as a Future 50 company.
Washington SmartCEO’s
Future 50 program, now in its second year,
recognizes the 50 fastest growing companies in
the Greater Washington, D.C. area based on
employee and revenue growth over the past three
years. More than 100 nominations were received
this year with two-thirds representing the
area’s technology sector, most of which are
involved in federal government contracting.
Winners are featured in the January 2007 issue
of Washington SmartCEO and were also
honored at a reception and dinner held Jan. 25,
2007 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in
Arlington, Va.

SmartCEO’s way of celebrating the
growth and economic development in the Greater

generated more than $2 billion in combined
revenue last year and clearly have the right
ingredients for successful business growth.”
Avineon serves customers in
the federal, state and local governments as well
as the commercial sector and has grown from a
small start-up to a global enterprise, employing
more than 700 worldwide. In 2007, Avineon plans
to recruit qualified candidates at the
managerial and service levels to increase its
staff by more than 65 people. In addition, the
company expects to add more than 250 employees
in the next year at its India-based subsidiary,
Avineon India Private Ltd. (AIPL). Overall,
corporate growth is projected at more than 50
percent in 2007.
