Avineon Recognized as a Washington SmartCEO "Future 50" Company for Second Consecutive Year

ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Jan. 22, 2008 - Avineon, Inc. (www.avineon.com), a successful provider of IT, geospatial, engineering and program management services, has been recognized by Washington SmartCEO magazine as one of its Future 50 winners based on rapid employee and revenue growth. Over the past four years, Avineon has grown at an average annual rate of more than 30 percent. This marks Avineon’s second consecutive appearance on the list of Future 50 companies.

The Future 50 program, now in its third year, recognizes the 50 fastest growing companies in the Washington, D.C. metro area. In total, this year’s winners employ 21,000 people and generate more than $6 billion in combined revenue. Winners were honored at a black-tie dinner event Jan. 17, 2008 in Alexandria, Va.

Since its inception in 1992, Avineon has built a customer base of more than 250 clients across federal, state and local government agencies and the commercial sector. The company added significantly to its contracts portfolio in 2007 and also extended contracts with existing customers including the Departments of Housing and Urban Development, Treasury, Justice and Defense, among others. Internationally, Avineon’s India subsidiary is expected to grow by 60 percent over the next year and the company will increase its employee base by 800 to accommodate this growth.
